Image of Antioch, CA

Antioch-

Antioch was incorported on February 6, 1872.  Antioch used to be 1-mile in width by 3 miles in length.  Antioch has grown so much since then.  Being one of the most on the rise communitites in the bay area, it is no wonder that people are moving here and developers want to build here.
Antioch is planning an economic development strategy to spread the word to prospective businesses.  These businesses include, but are not limited to, administrative/back office operations, high technology, manufacturing, biotech companies and retail.  With the labor pool and competitvely priced land and office space, this strategy would work.
Since a lot of workers commute out of Antioch, there is plenty of enthusiasm about getting jobs locally.  Antioch offers affordable housing and plenty of activities for families, which allows more time spent with families since there isn't as much time spent on the commute.
Antioch has an overall goal to make Antioch not just a household community but an employment hub as well.  Antioch is growing so fast.  There are already plans of many new housing developments, new schools, many resturants, stores, etc.
